New publication alert! (Dr. Ram Ranjan)

Congratulations to Dr. Ram Ranjan, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, on his newly accepted publication titled Restoring Natural Wetlands through Financial Incentives based Adoption of Constructed Wetlands on Agricultural Farms in the Journal of Cleaner Production.

Constructed Wetlands (CWs) are artificial wetlands that can treat municipal, agricultural, and industrial wastewaters, thereby reducing effluent discharge into freshwater bodies. However, despite the benefits, their adoption rate has been low. This paper explores how financial incentives could be designed to promote CW adoption on private farms, specifically with the objective of restoring and protecting natural wetlands.
