Kurt Horner is an incoming assistant professor of Economics at Shiv Nadar University, and is completing his PhD at the University of California, Irvine. His research interests are primarily in macroeconomics and industrial organization, particularly with regard to physical capital markets and organizational theory. The implications of these phenomena for growth and development are also of high interest. His technical expertise leans theoretical, using search models and applied game theory. Prior to pursuing his PhD, Kurt Horner was a structural engineer, designing mostly commercial and residential properties in California.
