Dr. Ashokankur Datta is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Shiv Nadar University. He completed his Ph.D. at the Indian Statistical Institute in 2012. He holds undergraduate and masters degrees in Economics from the University of Calcutta and the University of Delhi respectively. His academic interest is in understanding environmental problems of the developing world with the help of tools from the field of economics. He is also interested in studying issues related to exclusion and discrimination in the context of India.
